Summary Of Position

This position monitors, analyzes and tests software during development in order to ensure quality. SQA engineers use test automation software programs which set up test trials and preconditions to examine product functionality, content, and user friendliness. They design, build, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions.

Essential Functions And Duties

• Create and execute Software test plan and test cases
• Identify, Analyze and Report software issues
• Document test results during software development cycle
• Participate in software design and software test planning
• Recommend improvements in software development and features
• Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance
• Works with Software Developers and Project Manager to enhance and improve Software Applications
• Maintain updated knowledge of Software testing trends and industry standards
• Required reporting:
• Development efforts spent on new features, enhancements, and maintenance
• Other reports and information as required

• Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• 5+ years proficiency utilizing computer technology and programming languages
• 5+ years of knowledge of software Testing methodologies
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years proficiency utilizing computer technology and programming languages
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge in Agile and waterfall software development methods
