As a Freight and TMS Lead in our newly established Logistics Shared Service Center in Costa Rica, you will use your skills in logistics, analytics, and project management to optimize transportation processes within Lutron's Supply Chain. The role comprehends enabling systems, performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of transportation data, recommending improvements to transportation systems and processes and implementing new policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

The Senior Freight Lead/Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Optimize Transportation Operations: Utilize project management skills and expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize transportation operations.
  • Data Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of transportation data.
  • Strategy Development: Develop strategies to improve efficiency and ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
  • Reporting: Create dynamic reports for key metrics and performance tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements with attention to detail.
  • System Management: Manage various internal and external systems to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on access database processes.
  • Data Auditing: Audit and monitor data sets for service delivery or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Team Support and Training: Provide support and training to team members on TMS usage and best practices.
  • Team Management: Manage a small team of Freight Specialists who execute daily, weekly, and monthly activities, including monitoring, auditing, and reporting on TMS.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare reports and presentations to share findings and recommendations with team members and senior management.

Qualifications

If so, Lutron is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in logistics and/or transportation.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience (PMI, Agile, etc)
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL data extraction, and data storytelling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TMS set-up and configuration experience is a plus.
  • Master Degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Project Management or other related filed
