ASESOR ASOCIADO DE LEGAL Y CUMPLIMIENTO

Job Pourpose

The Associate Legal and Compliance Counsel will report to the LATAM Legal and Compliance Counsel based in Costa Rica and will work closely with the compliance counsel at Group level.

The position is responsible to provide legal support to business units with particular emphasis in compliance given the necessity to provide further structure and control according to local legal framework and internal policy requirements.

The position is part of the LATAM Legal team. The position will not have direct reports but will interact closely with different stakeholders and external service providers. As part of the responsibilities the position will manage the compliance risks related to the regional operation within an international business context. The position requires certain level of management skills to lead and implement value added project on the region.

Main Responsabilities

• Implement and oversee compliance programs.
• Propose updates and improvements opportunities on legal and compliance matters.
• Support Legal Counsel on relevant projects to drive constant improvement, automatization and access to legal information
• Provide timely and accurate legal and compliance assistance and advice.
• Provide training on relevant legal and compliance matters.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers.
  
  

Experience And Knowledge

• Licenciate Degree in Law, desirable Master
• At least 7 years of experience in a transnational companies or reputable law firm
• Incorporated to the local Bar Association.
• Proficient in english (advance)
• Desirable experience handling multijurisdictional matters and a strong base in corporate and commercial law.
• Great Communication skills and ability to implement culture changes.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
• Hybrid
