About this opportunity

We're looking for a Level 2–3 Full Stack Software Developer to join our team in the Cartago, Lima office (this position offers a hybrid modality). This ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise web applications from scratch, and he/she is willing to work on projects on the existing platforms. In addition, this engineer shall also contribute to requirement collection, solution & design, automated deployment, testing activities, and production trouble shooting.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will...

  • Participate in requirement gathering and analysis with strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Design and implement high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and secure enterprise applications.
  • Prepare and present technical solutions and designs to cross-functional team members.
  • Take ownership of features and work closely with Business Analysts, IT, and DevOps throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability to ensure fast response times and minimal downtime.
  • Strive to write well-documented, and maintainable code, following coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, promoting high code quality and continuous improvement.
  • Work with tertiary groups such as Security, Architecture, IT Operations, and QA to ensure quality design, delivery, and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Demonstrate accountability and self-learning skills with emerging trends of technologies and existing applications.
  • Create, manipulate, and optimize SQL database tables to support data-driven features and reporting.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning and reviews, and maintain clean, version-controlled code.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

In this role, you’ll need …

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in Agile development environments using tools like JIRA, Confluence and Git.
  • 2–5 years of experience in full stack development with solid front-end and back-end exposure.
  • Experience with Python, Angular and .Net.
  • Proficiency in Java, Java Script and C#.
  • Willing to learn other technologies quickly is a plus, like Rockwell FTPC, Vaadin Framework, Pnut Script, etc.

Nice to have

  • Solid understanding of SOAP, RESTful, JSON/AVRO and software design patterns.
  • Familiar with Linux, SQL, Azure, Bitbucket, and build tools such as Maven.
  • Comfortable using IDEs like IntelliJ or Eclipse.
  • Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
  • Exposure to popular Web Framework (e.g. React.js, Node.js or Spring).
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, JMS, Mule).
  • Experience with API management and authentication tools like (e.g. Apigee, Auth0).
