Production Supervisor

Overview

Lutron has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor to join our second shift team at our facility in Cartago, CR. In this position you will be a key part of the Manufacturing team and will be responsible for providing leadership for the various manufacturing areas, as well as contribute to improving other key metrics such as Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Productivity.

The Production Supervisor at our manufacturing facility plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This position requires a dynamic leader who can manage production activities, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure a safe working environment. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of technical assistants and line leaders, coordinating daily operations, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance utilization and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process, from raw material input to final product delivery.
• Lead teams within the production area to execute build schedules, support schedule changes
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Train, guide, and evaluate production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance production efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records, ensuring accurate documentation of operations.
• Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and warehouse departments to optimize operations and resolve issues
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal, reading and writing)
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM to10:00 PM) and cover other shifts when needed
