We are looking for a Planner I to join our team in Costa Rica. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making an impact on our life-saving work, this may be a good fit for you! As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:

SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating planning, purchase of materials required to manufacture and scheduling activities to support one or more product lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for production schedules. Keep System update and database.
  • Responsible for paperwork generation to support assigned product lines. This includes traveler issuing and closing, connecting jobs on the floor to orders in the system, and other activities typically performed by the production control function.
  • Responsible for estimating and planning raw and/or any other material requirements used to support assigned product lines. Coordinates purchasing activities of those items.
  • Revises purchasing or planning documentation as appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Follow up production until reach ship date required checking no to over or under ship.

Supervision:

General Direction: receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operate within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree with 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work in a self-managed work team environment.
  • Ability to work differing work schedules.
  • Good written and oral English communication skills required.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

MANUAL DEXTERITY: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.

VISION REQUIREMENTS: No special vision requirements

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday – Friday.

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
