Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant at Snap Finance is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The Sr. Accountant will work closely with the finance team to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant at Snap Finance is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The Sr. Accountant will work closely with the finance team to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules.
- Assist in calculating, preparing, and paying merchant rebates.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reports and schedules.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements (US GAAP).
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as NetSuite system and Excel.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and US English proficiency required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- CPA certification a plus.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with BI tools, SQL, Tableau
