Description:

The Production Supervisor manages a team of production workers and ensures the safe and efficient manufacturing of medical devices; while working closely with the Production Manager and other departments such as quality control, QA, engineering, and Supply Chain to facilitate production operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Help to promote a team focused and patient first environment within the production organization.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple production lines, including production schedules, quality control, adherence to manufacturing procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Manage a team of production workers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Help monitor daily production output, performance to time standards, and other relevant KPI’s.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures and policies as well as applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, ISO, and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to develop and implement new processes and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operated safely, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and inventory management personnel to help manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to upper management on production performance, quality control, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Support Engineering by facilitating the building prototypes and execution of test protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory position.
  • Knowledge of clean room procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
  • Medical device industry experience.
