We are looking for a Supervisor II, Indirect Purchasing to join our team. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will be responsible for production planning and inventory control for multiple products while prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. This individual will take a lead role in continuous improvement, product flow and capacity improvement to improve the overall efficiency of manufacturing while service level targets.
SUMMARY: The Indirect Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the global procurement of non-production goods and services, including office supplies, IT equipment, professional services, facilities management, and other indirect categories. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies while supporting internal stakeholders across departments and sites located in different countries
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Have supervisory responsibilities.
Leadership: Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
MANUAL DEXTERITY: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
VISION REQUIREMENTS: No special vision requirements
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday – Friday.
TRAVEL: Minimal.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL:

- Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of indirect buyers or procurement specialists.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cost-consciousness.
- Procurement Operations:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments (IT, HR, Facilities, Finance, etc.) to understand procurement needs.
- Provide guidance on procurement of best practices and policy compliance.
- Reporting & Compliance:
- Track and report on key procurement metrics (e.g., cost savings, supplier performance).
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- College degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Four to seven years of related experience and three years of supervisory or project leadership experience.
- Green Belt (Six Sigma) certification preferred
- Written and conversational English level of B2 or higher
