SUMMARY:
This role involves collaborating with the health and safety team to conduct workplace assessments to identify potential health risks related to exposure to physical agents as well as collecting data and assist in the preparation of reports that contribute to the implementation of corrective measures.
This is a 6-month temporary Intern position
This is an Onsite role and requires full-time presence in the company’s facilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports EHS staff with documentation, investigations, and assessments.
- Assists EHS staff in performing plans and programs.
- Reports to management on issues of the Health Safety and Environmental Management System for review, including recommendations for continuous improvement
- Carry out routine inspections on site identifying areas of improvement and concern
- Helps with employees' training processes as required
- Supports the department on administrative tasks
- Assist ERT members (Emergency Response Team)
- Currently enrolled in the University studying Environmental, occupational health or related fields.
- Intermediate personal computer skills (MS Office), including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics.
- Ability to audit areas identifying non-compliance to requirements and develop/oversee action plans for corrective action
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of coworkers, managers, directors, clients, customers, and the public
