About The Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement sourcing strategies and ongoing management of critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality in key sourcing categories. The individual will be responsible for strategic sourcing, negotiations and management of major contracts for the company. In addition, this position is responsible for leveraging relationships between BSC sites, divisions, and strategic supplier base to improve organizational efficiency and optimize business and financial opportunities.

About The Role

Your Responsibilities Include
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies in key sourcing categories that results in a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Providing strategic influence while building relationships with outside suppliers and respective internals leads to increase organizational integration and efficiency.
- Lead enterprise governance process and supplier management of outsourced providers (including the development and implementation of key performance metrics).
- Support functional governance meetings.
- Guide respective internal leads through a holistic & systematic category approach to supplier selection and management.
- Establish early, new supplier involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.
- Manage outsourcing contract compliance.
- Negotiate new agreements and SOWs in support of key sourcing areas.
- Support functions in due diligence and solution creation for outsourcing.
- Conduct periodic market analysis of rates and other commercial terms.
- Understand and promote best practices in outsourcing.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personal, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
- Requires comprehensive conceptual knowledge of different theories, principles and systems within a professional job function and understanding of other job functions to advise subordinate staff in complex issues
- Contributes to best practices and functional/technical direction for the job function within the context of assigned team / department
- Applies knowledge of business and industry drivers and the factors that maximize performance of area(s) managed; interprets and monitors business trends and market developments to contribute to plans to address business challenges
- Manages professional employees, may occasionally manage subordinate M2/M3s, sets team/department priorities and allocates resources
- Develops operating policies and establishes procedures for team(s) managed; interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to policies and operating standards for area managed
- Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of resources within the assigned area
- Identifies and resolves complex functional technical, operational and organizational problems
- Applies professional expertise to recommend solutions and preemptively solves problems with considerations for potential broader impact and applicability to the area, with guidance only in the most complex situations
- Developing implementation strategies for developed solutions
- Makes decisions that impact the business results of area –including the support, prioritization, and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies
- Guides by using policies, resource requirements, budgets and area business plans, decisions impact the finances, operational efficiency and effectiveness of own team(s) and often multiple related team
- Influences the opinions and decision making of others internally or with external partners/vendors/customers to achieve department objectives; persuades peers and higher-level managers (e.g. M5s-M7s) and builds consensus to take action/ adopt recommendations
- Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders concerning specific projects, operations or schedules; converts technical information to compelling business context and advice.
- Licenciature Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or applicable field.
- At least 10 years of experience in similar position.
- English Level: C1 90-94%
- Desired knowledge: APICS Certification desirable, Excel Advance, Inventory, SAP
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
