This role will guide and manage a group of technical and professional employees responsible for handling corporate travel and expense-related processes. This includes setting goals, providing direction, and ensuring efficiency within the team. The individual will be responsible for providing direction and using subject matter expertise to enforce company policies related to travel and expenses while identifying opportunities for optimization and improvements to enhance efficiency and cost management.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, and 8 years of previous related experience.

How´ll make an impact:
- Local accounting Lead assisting team members and oversee the work of assigned corporate accounting team within own function.
- Plan and direct corporate accounting project accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables to the business within established schedule, scope and quality objectives; Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive improvements
- Identify risk, develop mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, critical path, resolve issues, action item follow up, etc. in collaboration with project managers, business partners, etc.
- Take a lead role in the maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley cycle narratives withing area of responsibility and accurately present key controls within each narrative and ensure all SOX key controls are appropriately completed within area of responsibility
- Lead subject matter expert for providing US GAAP and Statutory accounting guidance and JDE support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas, in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Manage daily accounting activities to assigned entities
- Coordinate training for new staff and identify training needs of current staff
- Serve as an escalation point and provide technical expertise and resolutions to global finance partners and subordinate team members
- Interface with external auditors and vendors to respond to questions

Bachelor's degree in accounting, and 8 years of previous related experience.
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Proven successful project management skills
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
- Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
- Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and finance team
- Ability to consult in project setting within specific sections of financial area
- Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level.
