This position is responsible for the accurate tracking and lifecycle management of fixed assets, including tagging, record maintenance, transfers, and disposals. It supports PROCOMER audits and ensures compliance with corporate and local regulations under the Free Trade Zone regime through timely reporting. Additionally, the role contributes to process improvements, supports related projects, and provides timely accounting support to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

How´ll make an impact:

  • Assigning unique identification numbers or tags to each asset. This helps in tracking and managing assets throughout their lifecycle (TAG and mass creation in JDE).
  • Maintaining detailed records of all fixed assets, including descriptions, acquisition dates, costs, locations, and responsible parties. Update corporate and local ledger.
  • Managing the transfer of assets between locations or departments. This includes updating records to reflect changes in ownership or location (BU´s and locations).
  • Managing the disposal of assets that are no longer needed or have reached the end of their useful life.
  • This includes selling, scraping, or donating assets and recording the disposal in the accounting system.
  • Generating reports on fixed assets for financial reporting and compliance purposes. This includes preparing asset schedules, depreciation reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Refers to the process of auditing and controlling assets through cyclical counts to verify their existence, status and location. (According to policy).
  • Support project related to fixed asset management for process improvement.
  • Other incidental duties.

What you´ll need (Required):

  • Technical Diploma in Accounting, or related areas and 3 years of experience working in accounting support required and of previous related experience in Free Trade Zone companies.

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Proven expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point & Power BI).
  • Experience with current processing systems (e.g., COUPA and JDE).
  • Effective communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders. Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • English and Written proficiency in English is preferred.
  • Experience in fixed asset management and free trade zone regimen is preferred.
