We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes that meet quality, safety, regulatory, and operational standards. In this role, you will analyze manufacturing data, apply engineering judgment to resolve technical issues, drive continuous process improvements, and collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, and customers. You may also provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes, production lines, equipment, tooling, and fixtures to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Document engineering activities, technical reports, and manufacturing standards in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with R&D, Design, Transfer Engineering, Operations, Quality, customers, and suppliers to support product launches, transfers, and ongoing manufacturing.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing performance through yield optimization, material utilization, time studies, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis and investigate manufacturing and quality issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Support production by conducting inspections, establishing work standards, and ensuring manufacturing processes consistently meet product and customer requirements.
Education and Experience
- Technical degree in Engineering, or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of Quality Systems and Medical Device regulations, including process validation, traceability, quality issue management, and risk management.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and methods, including tooling, workflow, production layout, assembly processes, and manufacturing equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Quality tools, including 5S, Kaizen, Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Diagrams, Control Charts, Checklists, and Histograms.
- Knowledge of statistics, materials, and mechanical principles is considered an asset.
- Intermediate English skills (B1+)
